centershot measurement for outback bow ?

bradley

triplebeam
i thought the center of the arrow was suppose to be 11/16 of an inch from the riser is this correct ?

It really depends on the shooter at times. Your best bet would be to paper or walkback tune.

I just went through this with my new mathews dxt.Sad thing is the owners manual seems generic for all mathews bows and clearly states to start the centershot at 13/16 from the side of the riser to the center of the arrow. This was way off and after visiting other forums found that 9/16 to 11/16 is more realistic for my bow. It turns out that i have paper tuned bullet holes at 5/8 centershot, which if you look out the shaft seems to be a little to far out but, the paper doesnt lie. When my new slick trick razortricks arrive i will walk back tune some more and see how they group in comparison to my field points. Good luck and take your time as bad form will negate all your tuning efforts.

11/16ths is just the starting point they recommend.

Set it there and then paper tune and adjust whichever way gives you a bullet hole.

My XT just happens to have a 11/16ths center shot.

I have seen some higher and lower then this, so do a little experimenting..

Good Luck. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
