Chicago Trip

The fam and I snuck out during our spring break to head to Chicago for a couple days. It was much needed to say the least!

We stayed with a close friend of my wife's and ended up going to the zoo most of the day on Thursday, playing at some parks, and then hopping on the "L" so my son could ride the big train. He loved it!

Being that Jess's friend had a place to stay, food to eat, zoo passes, etc, we pretty much just spent money on gas, a pizza joint, and the Cracker Barrel on the way home...can't beat that!

I had to really evaluate my purpose for being at the zoo because I LOVE taking photos of animals. That "elusive" shot is fun to catch for me...so I focused my efforts on making sure my son had fun first and foremost, and that I could "free up" my wife to have fun, to catch them in the process, and then if that shot presented itself, capture it!

Here are a few shots of the day...

Mr. King of Beasts trying to impress the lady....nice.

Great pics...take a lot of them, they grow up fast!! My oldest is graduating HS in a month or so and it seems like a few days ago when he started Kindergarten.
