Anybody hunting Clayton County?? or anywhere far ne iowa? whats the activity up there heading that way thursday?? Thanks in advance i live in central iowa and seening bucks together yet and very little chasing witch is weird.

Starting to get good in Fayette county. More and more deer taking dirt naps every day. Good luck.

Yep. Shot my buck on Friday, but my hunting partners out there are saying its pretty slow. Don't know if they are locking down with the first early does or what. I saw a few bucks running does on the drive back. This week/weekend is going to be pretty awesome though I think.
 
Saw a buck breeding a doe in the road ditch this morning on the way to work...she stood, he mounted, all in front of my truck... and a big buck was pushing a doe a mile down the road.
 
Hunted ne Iowa hard all weekend...almost no daytime movement, no chasing...had a few young bucks following does at last light, very slow compared to last year for me
