I was in eastern Iowa for 1st gun season this year. Two COs asked if they could have tissue samples from our deer. We agreed but weren't sure how the samples were taken. The next day the COs came back, I was given permission to record the process. I found it interesting & I learned a few things. I posted the video for educational purposes. It's 15 minutes long but you only need to watch a little bit to get the idea.
You should have the deer already caped if you are going to have your deer mounted. And the sampling doesn't affect anything if you are doing a euro mount.
