Colorado Shed hunting?

Heading out to Colorado once again, I know right now isn't the best time to shed hunt and I'm not even sure if it's legal in Colorado right now but I'd love to find a dead bull or a old shed heck it'll be great just being out there! Even though there's snow where I'll be heading. Can anyone give me any info? Anything would be great. Where to attempt to shed hunt, maps, public areas, ect.

EDIT: I'll be in the Denver/Longmont/Fort Collins, Loveland, Boulder, and Estes Park area, plus I'll be talking with a few small sporting goods stores and see if I can't get someone to go with me.

Check the regs first. Pretty sure shed season is closed right now. Think it opens in April.
