Coming to horns

Shredder

Awesome night, I rattled in 3 bucks....mostly smaller ones tonight over a decoy. Heard a grunt-snort-wheeze up close and personal (10 yards from a ground blind) This was the first time I had hunted from the ground and to say I was impressed would be an understatement. I did see about a 130in 8 dogging a doe hard out in the field and he let out a loud wheeze when he saw the decoy but never came in.If the weather had been a little more cooperative, I would have had the video camera and caught all this but I guess the memory will have to do.

thanks for the info shredder! i am finally going to get days #2,3, and 4 this thur.-sat(need a break from the house). was kinda wondering if crackin' them horns was doing any good yet or not

I've heard that horns have been working the past couple weekends. Witnessed on some video tape as well. However, I didn't have as much luck. Rattled both Sat. and Sun. and struck out both days. Oh well, it won't be the last time I try this year. It is only going to get better!

I had a spike come calling this AM!! Things are starting to really get torn up with sign in SE MN!!! Hunting every day this week>

Ive had no luck at all with the horns as of yet, but Ill give it another try later this week. A few small bucks cruisin this weekend but after dark I could hear running all over the place, Sounded like chasing to me, I think things are about to explode up here

I ratteled Sunday morning and brought in 5, the first one barely gave me enough time to put the rack down. Last year I tried this in the same location and had no luck.

I rattled a good one in tonight - he wouldn't commit until a couple squirrels jumped in the leaves. He must have thought it was deer, casue he came in on a string. 12 yards broadside - but alas I thought he would be even better next year.

Rattled in one of the very few bucks that I seen ,that I thought would go 300# or better on the hoof. He looked to be a 140-150 8ptr.,that is until he faced me and I saw his left main beam was almost completely busted off!!!!
