I e-mailed the reps in my area and received a reply from Jim Van Fossen, District 84, who is on the Natural Resource Commission. He states he is in agreement that the first muzzleloader season should remain at 7500 tags. He also said that he is waiting for a response from the DNR in regards to eliminating the Thanksgiving season. I suggested he read the pertaining threads on this site to get an idea of how other hunters in Iowa feel about the changes, he said he would. I hope he follows through with reading these threads.
