I talked with Dale Garner today. He reports that to date he has received exactly 2 letters and 2 emails about the proposed deer rules.
 
I thought that was what the public comment area was for on the DNR website. Will he not read those?

Maybe they are opinions that he agrees with and wants to hear. I guess I will send another with a read receipt that it was opened.
 
For those of you that don't know...

Dale Garner is Iowa's DNR Wildlife Bureau Chief.

Basically WJS is telling us that he isn't hearing much from Iowa's deer hunters about the proposed changes.

So feel free to shoot him a personal e-mail!

I did not do a copy and paste on this e-mail. I don't know how they will keep the responses straight but I already got a thank you for comments e-mail reply.
 
I just recieved a thank you reply from Mr. Garner.

"Thank you for your comments.These proposals are still very much undecided upon.Thank you."

C'mon guys...take a minute a write a short note to the man.It seems to me that the public comment area isn't going to mean very much because of the cut and paste responses.

I know some of us think it gets old.....but it really does matter.
 
I sent mine, everyone feel free to comment on all of the other things that have been pulled over on us in the last two years as well.
