Confession

Well I must confess.... going into this new compound bow search I have been a little biased toward the Hoyt Trykon because I like the history behind Hoyt archery, their reputation, bow accessories, etc. But after shooting the Bowtech Tribute this past weekend, I was throughly impressed. I honestly felt like I was pulling a recurve in REVERSE... the smoothest compound bow I have ever drawn...

Tuning has to be a big issue when test shooting bows because too many guys have various opinions regarding vibration, etc. After shooting the same model bow (Trykon) at two different bow shops, they definately felt different.... I am still trying to talk myself into the Trykon, but that Tribute was very sweet!!! I love the draw cycle.... NO obvious drop off of the cams at the end of the draw... could not detect any vibration after the shot.... this is going to be a lot harder decision than I originally thought...

I am a die-hard hoyt fan but if the Tribute feels like a smoother bow....buy the darn thing. If it is anything like the allegiance, I am sure it is a smooth draw and shot. Buy what feels best to you.

I agree with Shredder there, I spent the better part of my day off shooting the Trykon and the Tribute side by side. Either way you go you'll be quite happy.
