does anyone know of a good place to get some corn in the iowa city area? i want to try the new vman cam out and i think corn would help bring them in. thanks in advance!

Take some five gallon buckets and head out of town....Stop at the first good size farm with grain bins and ask if they'll sell you some. Chances are, they will, and you'll probably get it cheaper than you can by buying it in a bag.

Critr's probably right about straight off the farm being cheaper.

Orschelons(sp)in Iowa City had bags of corn for sale, $7.00/40 lb bag. I think they had a "deer feed" for $12/bag.

Solon Feed Mill might sell you some. There is the FS just west of IC/Coralville on highway 6.

Try Gringer Ag. They're at 2144 Old Hwy. 218 South. Phone # 319-338-2280. Go south of Sturgis Ferry Park, should be just east of the airport. I've been paying around $3.75 a bag at our local elevator. I like the bags best since they won't tip over and spill while I'm bouncing down the trail on my ATV.

I get mine in the Davenport Gander Mountain, they sell "Deer Corn" in 40 lbs bags for $4.50. Seems cheap enough.

I buy most often at the Riverside elevator. They sell bagged, shelled or ground depending on what you want. Not sure on current price.
