Next fall I'll be doing an extended fly in mule deer hunt into the mountains in Idaho. I was told to have a cot and I want to be comfortable. This one caught my eye and I thought I'd see what the experts had to say.

Does any body have a good camp set up they'd rent me?

nope i finally fell through my cot last spring. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif have looked at those and they look sweet.

At my age I could use an extra gun and when I have to run for the woods I want my wipe close. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

So Ryan you don't have a cot I can use?

My buddies dad has a very similar Cabelas cot, he loves it.

As far as a campsite... send Hardcore a PM, he has a canvas tent set up. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Calling them "finget cots" is just being kind. I buy "Trojan Minis". Darn things still slip off.

I had a couple of them cots and thought they were a real bear to set up. Should be a better cot out there that sets up easier. Also, if weight is a consideration these babies are pretty heavy. I took my two back to Cabelas because I got tired of fighting so hard to get them set up.

Thanks dc,

I was looking at a frame that holds a twin air matterest the other day. That sure looks like a better nights sleep. Any thoughts on that route.
