Crazy, any thoughts

I checked the ice around Polk City yesterday and was surprised to see Saylorville completely iced in, but Big Creek was almost completely open.

Anyone know why that might be? Guess i always thought the smaller water-bodies froze up before the bigger ones. I thought it was weird.

Good forecast for making ice over the next several days.

Drove through the park this morning on the way to work. Big creek is all ice.
