Well since hunting season is over I've been remodling my bathroom fulltime and it sucks. My hunting buddy came over with this, hed been out shed hunting.
So I decided to take break and head for the woods. I went out to the piece of public ground where I shot my shotgun buck. I walked for a good hour then headed to the spot where I killed my deer. I found the tree I was setting against I found my shell casing so I picked it up. Then I walked over to where I dropped him, did a little daydreaming then I took off looking for sheds. I didnt walk 30 yards and this was laying right on top of the leaves. I dont know if its mine but its from this year. You can see the blood dried in the groves. I cant hardly believe it could be anyone elses it was right in line with where I would have taken the shot.
I guess I'll just say its mine.
Then to top it off I drove to spot this evening where I knew I would see some bucks and I could check to see if there were any half racks or anything. I watched 6 bucks all with both sides still intact for about a half hour. The crazy part was 2 of the bucks were fighting the whole time. They'd fight for a little bit then stand there and stare at each other then fight again. They were going at it pretty good so I'm guessing they'll both be holding there antlers for a while longer. Isn't that a little strange to be fighting this late? Would they be fighting over food? I would think that all the does should be bred by now. Sorry I got so windy it was just a buzy day. P.S. I didn't find any sheds.
