cutting arrows

SCOFFIN

Miles Coffin
I bought some new arrows that need cut to size. Can I do this myself or just have the pros do it? If I can do it myself, what is the best cutting tool?

BTW, I'm very mechanically inclined, just want to make sure I don't do it wrong and waste $90 bucks worth of arrows..

You need a High speed cut of wheel. I"ve done it with a 3.5 angle grinder, dremel tool, and the small cheap cut off wheel chopsaw you can get from harbor freight. You need to rotate the arrow shaft into the blade so it is always cutting from the outside in. Do not plunge the blade all the way through the shaft. That said I prefer to have the shop cut them.

Bow shop. Either you have the tool, or you don't. For what it WIll cost you if you try to do it yourself, you could almost buy a saw.
