I think the bloody nose has nothing to do with it. Mostly CWD is body related, look how slim and sickly that buck looks like. I think thats what the picture is trying to say. Also, I'm not positive, but isn't CWD were the deer stops eating and basically eats itself to the point where it just dies.
Am I correct? or will someone correct me if i'm not, so I understand CWD better and how to protect our large deer herd.

p.s. where was this buck found? hopefully not in Iowa.
I think this buck was one of the original 3 bucks that they found CWD in over here in WI. I think you are correct about they stop eating and basically live off there own muscle mass untill they expire. Not positive on this though. That body of the buck looks like the size of a small doe or fawn.
