Dad's Big Black Bear

Thought you guys might enjoy seeing my dad's black bear he got this year in California. It tipped the scales at 550lbs. What a nice bear.

Uffda, that thing's a beast! Congrats to your Dad on the bear and a great looking mount. I can't wait to head up to Ontario this August for my first black bear hunt - after seeing that I'm totally pumped!!!

I have taken 3 up in northern Wisconson and guided my son to a 4th back when he was 16. Two of mine were pretty big, with the biggest being a 500 pounder, but I think your old man has got me beat

Here is the 500 pounder...(Both bow kills of coarse)

Here is the last one I got, it was about 400 pounds..

My very 1st one was a dink, and with a rifle

Here is my sons 1st bear... Killed with a shotgun at point blank as it was about to jump on top of me... But thats a whole 'nother story
