Dandy buck /Cruel death

I found this bruser with my son while shed hunting in march. It looked like he was shining antlers and got hung up in the brush and that is where he died.

I have a august photo of him while in velvet. I wondered what had happend to him, I had 3 other bucks on that same role that went 130 to 140 and I had the opportunity to see all of them. Mother nature can be cruel sometimes.

Lets see if I cant get this photo upload right this time.

That was a dandy, too bad he had to go that way. Would have been much more fun seeing him thru the sights on your bow, or thru the leupold mounted on a slug gun

Sounds like you have some nice bucks coming into their prime, good luck later this year.

That has to be a freak occurance. I have heard of, and seen serveral with a leg tangled in fences or antlers in fences...but natural vegetation?

Nature is not painless for sure and what a way for a nice buck to go.

Seen a photo very similar to this years back taken by a friend. Definately a rare occasion. Bought like a beaver dropping a tree on it's self.
