Made it out after work and was in the tree by 5.30,looken to fill the doe tag or maybe get lucky on a buck.
Kept hearing turkeys out in the feild of set aside acres.About sun down 35 or so came strolling by in the fields edge and they decide to roost in the tree and trees around my stand.
Ive seen turkeys roost before but have never had a tom and two hens above my head. There were turkeys in all the trees around me.
I thought now if a deer comes along am i going to be able to draw with out 35 turkeys taken flight?
didnt have to worry for no deer came.Them turkeys were fussen and hopping around from tree to tree. They keep this up to well into dark.

when i left they were still beaten there wings around some, didnt spook any of them.makes me almost wish i had a turkey tag,but i dont think i would have shot one any way.Never would find the arrow dont suppose.
The predator fall brown camo once again does it job.Best cammo pattern i think i have ever had.

I assume its an afternoon stand. Not going back in the AM. I think I would have flushed them when they began to fly up. Don't want them back tomorrow.

I spent my first evening in one of my stands on a hillside covered with oaks. I had a flock of about 25 hens and about 12-15 toms/jakes come in about 6:30. They made so much racket while they were there. Luckily for me a doe and her fawn came in, and the turkeys moved on about 60 yards before roosting.

I climbed up in my stand one morning before light. Just before sun up i heard somthing fall through the branches. Turnd out to be turkey ----. There must have been 6 or 7 of them up there. Sounded like they hit ever branch when they flew out. Youd think theyed have spooked when I climbed the tree but I guess they wont fly out in the dark.

scout i thought about flushen them up,would have been the best time to get rid of them i reckon seeing how they had already made plenty of noise getten there. All i could think about was gettting things quite agan.Never happened.
My 79 year old dad hunts fall turkeys with a shotgun, thought i would let him know where he might be able to ambush em in the morning some where there abouts.
