Just for conversation, who all has one of these?

They are clearly awesome, but have you killed over it yet? Do you think it is light years better than the other decoys?

Don't have one - and in my mind I can't see it being any more productive than our BossBuck or the classic CarryLite decoy. We've had great luck using these two decoys. The DSD buck looks amazing, no arguing that!!

I see they are 600 bucks! For 500 I will do a crude lifesize real mount that would blow his out of the water, mine will be heavier though.. Also can't do them until I get some lifesize skins next fall. I'm making myself one for sure.

One of my buddies that is a taxidermist took a carrylite decoy and attached a big doe deer hide to it. Looks sweet and he has killed many deer over it. I would love to have the DSD though as well.

I wanted to do this last year, but didn't have the hide for it either. Should have had someone save one back, but then I would have had to tan it or have someone else do it. Maybe this year. Mine would probably be more crude than yours if I did it myself! But hey, make it close enough and a buck looking for action won't care, right? :)

What would a lifesize mount weigh, assuming using a taxidermy mount instead of a decoy?

Want to do this have the decoy but can't bring myself to shoot a doe. Thinking of asking the local locker for a hide.

As for the original question I do have the DSD deer decoy. Have not taken anything over it yet has brought in plenty of smaller bucks. I use a molle pack frame to carry it in and out works great.

Edit:

Blew one opportunity on a very nice 8. All me nothing to do with the decoy. :(

I am not tight with money but $600 for a decoy is insane. I know several guys that have attached a hide to a decoy with great success.

Cooter, check out ebay, sometimes you can grab a hide for cheap off of there. Also, try a few of the local taxi's, sometimes they are willing to part with a hide, might cost you a little though.

The price is high but great quality. I have $720 in turkey decoys. Soon to be $840. I love quality and dont mind paying for it. cooter, check the taxidermy forums. They have full body hides for sale all the time.

I agree and if DSD would produce a doe decoy I would have one of them. I have every turkey decoy they make(two strutters). The strutters get my only complaint. Have a Zink strutter also. DSD has great quality and cs. Plus made in the USA. Wish Double Bull still was.
