Last December I ran out of my e3 spray. I bought two 32oz bottles from a local archery shop, which he had to order from a supplier. I didn't use much and the season ended. When preparing for my kids youth hunt this year (2009) I found that both bottles had fairly thick black moldy looking stuff in it. It was stored in my cool basement so temperature shouldn't have been a factor.
I called the company and they told me that the product had a 2 year shelf life and at that point the componets can start breaking down. I was told to send an email with the numbers that were printed on the bottom of the bottles and a description of what the problem was. I sent that on Friday afternoon.
Monday morning Fed Ex delivered two new 32oz bottles of e3 Odor Terminator. The packing slip said that my old bottles were 3 years old. I felt that this was excellent customer service from Dead Down Wind and I thought I would pass it along as a great company to deal with.:way::way:
On a side note, the new bottles came with an expiration date on the bottom of the bottle, something that old ones did not have. If you have an old bottle or go to a shop to buy more, check to make sure it has a date. The archery shop that I bought from assumed that the bottles that he ordered from his supplier were new, which they apparently were not.
Happy Hunting!
