I think I saw this deer at the "cabin fever days" at the legion in St. Ansgar about a month ago...an impressive creature...

joebell, where are you from?!? Kinda shocked me that you would have seen it..It is a monster...i hope i get one like it someday

Flugge-
I'm from St. Ansgar originally, I now live in NW Iowa. I am not sure this is the same deer I saw and the legion...but it think it was there. There were a lot of really nice mounts there. My dad is a member of the legion and invited me in for the show...
I see you are from osage...thats too bad
LOL - just kidding

JoeBell- Yeah, I am from Osage, but live a block from the St. Ansgar Legion...It's kinda funny, I drive all the way to Osage for school and live 3 blocks from the St. Ansgar school. My grandpa has taken this deer to many shows, and yes, it was at the legion in town here.
I wish I could find out how many B&C deer have been shot in Mitchell county? Does anyone know?

lotsa nice bucks in Mitchell Co. quiet...don't tell anyone(hehe)...I am very fortunate to have access to some great hunting ground there...Its pretty rare that I go out bowhunting with out seeing at least several does...the numbers have got to be sky high...just go out and try to count the road kill on 105 west of town during the year (I would hate to see that number)
It's like SE Iowa without the leases and the outfitters, but I'm afraid it won't be long and we will have the same problem...
