Talked about this on my trail-cam post I put up a few
hours ago. I got a trail-cam in VELVET of this
buck, thought it was maybe 180+.
THEN, I got a trail-cam in hard horn,
he's 152". Got MUCH SMALLER once he had
the hard-horn. Man he had me FOOLED!!!!

OK- here's the CRAZY PART that's
a side-note!!!!!!!!!......
I have all his sheds (including those in pictures).
HE IS 2&1/2 YEARS OlD- FACT!!!!!!!!!
(no, I am not making a mistake on this one)
I have his 1&1/2 year old sheds and didn't realize it
UNTIL I got his sheds home this spring. Yes, he
wasn't 180, BUT 152" as a TWO YEAR OLD, I think
that's one of the biggest 2 year olds I've personally
seen.

For fun, here's another YOUNG deer that's going
to be a giant SOMEDAY, broke off right side BUT
someday he'll be HUGE!!!! Love the young deer
that have AMAZING genetics- just wish you always
saw more of em when they got mature!

152 guessing at the busted tines or straight gross score?

Yeah, velvet makes things tough.

Nice deer.

ah, umm, oh...
Actually my brother did the scoring and you know, I am not sure, good question!!?!?? *I found the shed, bro scored it for fun, I gotta think he added the points if he HAD NOT broke them off from looking at it BUT, not sure- I'd guess with no broken points so I'd guess he added in the points. he did OBVIOUSLY break some points off- I'll ask him if that's with or without the broken points, the shed is sweet no matter (tiny little bases!). If this deer made it to 6 & 1/2, can you imagine?!!?? I am sure every area has a deer like this if you look for a while. Weird how easy it is to get fooled on velvet to hard horn.

I agree Sligh1, I want everyone that hunts on me to leave those young bucks with awesome genetics alone...It can be a tough sell tho passing a 150+ 3.5 year old, but if you want a true giant that is what needs to be done.
