Decoy paint

For those of you who have given your decoys a facelift or new paint job. What kind of paint did you use? I'm sure some paints will stick and hold up better than others. Thanks

I can't remember the brand. I think it starts with a K, but if you go to like Walmart of Menards and look at spray paint that is for Plastic you will be set. This is what I used on my pretty boy and it worked great. Just make sure to do a good tape job on all the different areas because overspray is a problem.

I have always used plain ol acrylic paint in the tubes. It lasts a long time and you can blend colors to look a lot more real than spray cans. I touched up my Dave Smith decoy when it arrived. All factory decoys get factory paint jobs. Good luck

I will figure out how to post some pics have never done this on this site. I repainted the tail and the wing pocket just didnt like the one brush stroke lines my decoy had on it. The heads look great but parts of the body needed a little work.

Back in the day I was a wildlife artist won a few contest but that was a long time ago. Later
