Decoy Placement

Just wondering what some of you guys are using for decoy placement? I know their are different scenarios for different situations but what is your most common?

I like a hen in the ready position with B-mobile behind her 5-10 yards away. Both facing me. (Tom will circle him so he can look in B-mobile's eyes his back will then be facing me). Will have a jake off to the other side 10 yards away and a few hens interdispersed throughout.

Have not shot one yet with a bow so do not know if it is the best or not. What is your best setup?

Tony,
since you are bow hunting, id set the "spread" up at the 10 yard mark, or closer....

This time of year, the birds are really grouped up and not all that interested in calling or decoys, so id use them in early morning set ups and late evening set ups...

IMO

I like throwing everything up within 10 yards of the blind. Many times I'll put a few decoys on one side of me and a few others on the other side.

If the birds are really grouped up when we get to Nebraska then Blaster and I are going to make our own flock.

I'm not warring those fake wings like you put on the pretty boy! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

This is the set up i used last year and it worked pretty good. I put them 10 yards from the blind.

I am packing MUCHOS decoys for NE. Do you guys think you will use the whole pack? I have 2 prettyboys and pretty hens. 4 other hens and two jakes. Overkill but I want to put them all out in a bad way!
