Decoy scents

What are you doing to your decoys o get rid of "from the factory" smells?

Then what are you using for scents in the field? Buck and doe pee or nothing? I was thinking of using deer dander or evercalm.

What are some of you using that seems to have the best reactions?

I always scrub mine down with baking soda and always handle with clean gloves. I don't use any scent in the field.

Definitely use ever calm, and then spray either buck or does urine under the tail (which ever decoy you are using). Last night I had one doe hanging around 20yds from my buck decoy for 2 hours. Wouldn't leave him alone, and I didn't want to shoot her. Had 8 other deer around it @ the same time and not one spooked.

Use dead down wind on the decoy! Then Mrs.Doe Pee on a pad under it on the ground!! :way::way:I've had bucks leave wet marks from their noses on the decoy! Had 4 bucks circleing it like indians around a wagon train! How much more ya need?????? Had a coyote stalk it from 140 yards into about 5 feet! Then again!!! Decoys may not work!!!!!!!!

I always set up my decoy outside for a month prior to season. First I wash it with HS Scent Free soap and rinse it clean. When using a buck decoy I always use tarsal supreme in a scent bomb.

I do the same exact thing. I also store it outside in a garbage bag after I spray it down. I use "scar face" and put some herd in a stick on the tail. Tail is removable so you can ziplock it in a plastic bag to preserve scent and such. Good luck hunting!

Picked up some Ever calm made by ConQuest. (Did that change companies?) What was carried at Scheels. Also picked up some code blue buck urine. Plan to pick up some Ms. Doe Pee next week or when things pick up.

I think it is the same as deer herd in a stick

Excellent choice on code blue buck urine. I use that as well and have rattled in a couple bucks the past couple days from downwind into the wind.
