Decoy's

SCOFFIN

Miles Coffin
I would like to get a decoy for use this year and recall somebody who used a 3D cardboard cutout of a Buck that posted to this site. This decoy was hinged in 2 places and sounded like a good lightweight way to go. Anybody know the manufacturer and where I can get one? I live in DSM.

Thanks,

Yes Scoffin,I'd take a look at the Renzo's like blake stated.I personally don't have any,but have seen them and would like to get some.I even like their turkey decoys, they look good also, compact and easy to setup.I do know of an individual that has used the Renzo turkey decoys and said they work well.He believes being that they are flat it actually creates an illusion to the tom that the bird is moving. The decoy sort of disappears when the bird is straight head on with it and reappears from a side view, atleast that is what he claims. How deer would react to them being they are flat, I'm not sure, maybe the same?

That is the decoy I was looking for. If you look at the Whitetail Testimonial's, there is a guy from Iowa who posted about them on this site. Thanks for the help.. For $24.95, I'll definitely give them a try.

Scoffin,
I bought the doe decoy last year before season. It worked really well. I had one huge buck just before shooting light come in within 9 yards of her and start stomping to get her to move. The next day, I had a nice 9 pointer running does on the other side of a barb wire fence up a draw from me. I grunted and he saw her. He jumped the fence and came in on a string. I've never used a decoy before and it was very cool. The flat decoys are nice as you fold them up and carry them in. Unless you are directly to the side of them, they look real. You get beside them and they "disappear". Well worth the $25.
