Deer country

I just returned from a spring break trip to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi to do some hurricane relief stuff. On the drive to Bay Saint Louis, MS, I was amazed at all the timber in Missouri, Arkansas, and Mississippi. It was really neat driving, but even better dreaming about all the deer that must be in those woods. Has anyone ever had a chance to hunt any of these states? Are they as packed with deer as what they look like they should be?

I hunt Missouri and there are plenty of deer. The ag areas certainly have more than the areas that are solid timber.
