hey guys, making some jerky this weekend. Was wondering what all your secret recipes/marinades are? I got a couple seasoning and cure packets that you can buy at thiesens or gander, and got a batch dehydrating now. A guy i work with gave me a marinade recipe he uses and I'm trying that as well.

Just wondering what everyone uses, and have found that tastes the best.
Thanks!

1/2 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup worchestershire sauce
1 bottle liquid smoke
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/8 cup A1 steak sauce
frank's red hot sauce
red peppeer flakes
onion powder
garlic powder
black pepper
salt

place all ingredients in a gallon zip loc bag with 1-2 pounds sliced vinison roast, 12+ hours. drain, place on dehydraton trays. sprinkle with lowerys seasoned pepper.

Yes I agree but I triple up the brown sugar it keeps a the meat a little more tendor and I cut out the liquid smoke and add teryaki about 6oz. Then I use the oven on 225 deer hanging on wooden shishcobob sticks found at any store. Crack the oven door with a butter knife while cooking the meat. Takes a 1/4 of the time to dry your meat.
