Resident deer hunters may begin purchasing licenses for the upcoming season on August 15. Season dates and license quotas were approved at the July meeting of the Natural Resource Commission of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

Licenses are sold at nearly 900 locations across the state and online at
www.iowadnr.gov and click on the hunting tab.

Did they also figure out how many antlerless tags/county they're issuing?
I can't seem to find that.
Last year the antlerless tags went on sale at the same time as the other licenses & since my county only has 100 available & they sold out before dawn, I want to make sure I'm on the stick.

Does anyone know if the early muzzy/shotgun thing got passed. I know it was talked about that if you went Early you couldn't get doe tags for shotgun season.
