Deer touching brassicas

Whats everyone's take on deer hitting their brassica plots?

I've noticed that I'm not seeing much action on the brassica plots yet. Maybe it's bc it hasn't hit first frost yet?
Deer are mostly interested in corn and cereal grains abd clovers

Hammering mine in MO and IA. Not touching them much on new farm in KS. Might take a little time for them to get accustomed to them.

FWIW, I watched a bunch of fawns last night and they stayed in the rye about 95% of the time, eschewing the brassicas right next to them. When the rye is fresh from recent growth AND it is relatively warm, like last night...they seem to prefer the rye.

Where were the mommy deer, you ask??? I suspect they were back in the cover "doing things", things that lead to more fawns next spring, ahem.

Meanwhile, this morning my son had as many as NINE bucks all over a doe. There was a merry-go-round of activity underneath him for about an hour, including the very harried doe running a circle around the tree he was in.

He sent me video(s). It was wild!
