Question has been asked before- what's new on the market for point and shoot digitals?
I was using a Fuji Finepix Z1 5.1, small and handy. I can replace it on eBay for around $120. I need to replace it or go with something new if there is something better.
What are you using?

Pharmer,
I have been using the Sony DSC h2 and love it. It takes great pictures. The flash is a little hot at times but overall it does a great job for a reasonable price. It is a bigger camera but I have found that it really hasn't made that big of a deal. The results are worth it.

Sony DSC H2 and H5 review

I bought my wife a Sony DSC W80. 7mpix, compact, easy to use, excellent pics, glad I bought it.

I am with Limb on this one, buy the Sony DSCH@ or the equivalent Canon S3IS, both are in the $300 range but both have a 12x optical zoom and take tremendous photos. There are ups and downs to both of them, I debated for several weeks and finally went with the Canon due to the fact I have 8GB worth of SD cards that the sony won't take. Other than that I felt the two cameras were very similar in terms of picture quality, ease of use, etc etc.

I agree with Limb! We have this camera and love it! Great for the price!

I'll second the Canon that jkratz is using. I have the S2IS (the older version) and it is a great camera. I'm sure the Sony is nice too though.

Canon S2IS for me as well...extremely happy with the lens clarity and easiness to use...here is a photo it took in Hawaii!
