I have noticed a lot of you must have digital cameras. I am thinking about getting one myself. One that takes good pictures, , is durable and reasonably priced. Do you guys have any recommendations? I really would like to start taking more pictures not only of wildlife but in general.

Digitals make a great camera... I guess it all comes down to how much you want to spend. Id definatly get at least a 2.0 megapixil camera. The higher the megapixils the more it will cost.

If you looking for a basic point and shoot camera look at this. Fuji cam

This is My auction just so you know. It was purchased to go into a trailcam, but I never got around to doing it...
This is what Id say is a basic starter camera.
Then you go into the higher quality cameras, like a nikon coolpix 4500 or similiar. These cost around $500 used on ebay....

Good luck!

As always it comes down to tradeoffs. I bought a Nikon coolpix 5700 off the computer. Like most modern gadgets, the longer you wait the cheaper they get and my camera is no exception. I have only had this one but would not give it up for anything even tho it is damn expensive. It is like GOOD binoculars. I finally bit the bullet and bought the ones I have always wanted . Zeiss Victory 10x56. Should have done that years ago.

Buy a camera that stretches your budget. The 5700 is a 5 megapixel.

go with the Nikons. I have a Coolpix 5000 that is 5.24 MP and a Coolpix 4300 4 MP. The 4300 is more of a point and click style camera with a few of the more popular options. The 5000 has ALL the bells and whistles, Hot shoe etc. It was an earlier model which was replaced by the 5700 and now a 1100 (I think) Lot of choices out there.....if your impressed with someones pics ask what make/model they use and go from there. Usually 100$ a MegaPixel.

i have a fuji 3800 with 3.2 megapixels. got it for christmas. when i can get it all settled out it takes great pictures. took this following pic and many like it with my camera. not sure on the price of it as it was a gift, i think around $250-$300 or so?
