Digital Camera's

Fellas,
I'm looking to buy a digital camcorder for filming deer hunts or deer in general. Does anyone recommend a camera? I'm splitting the camera between three people so our spending limit is around 800.00. Also, do you think their will be any problems with a digital camcorder in colder weather?

Thanks,

BT

I tend to prefer the sony camcorders.....a good format is miniDV one that would fit you budget would be the DCR-HC65

HC65

I bought one a couple of months ago and Vman suggested a Sony DCR TRV19 MIni DV. Same one he is currently using in the Nocturnal Nailer. I love it. Small, Lightweight and a moron like me can figure it out. I am going to put it to use hard this year. Seeing footage on this sight makes you want to have your own little collection. I am rigging it up with a long RealTree ez hanger and a camera mount.....another Magiver trick from Vman.

I bought the Sony TRV22 last fall, and love it. Small, great picture, and easy to use. I research stuff pretty well before buying, and this one had great reviews. Sony products seem to be among the favorites in this price range. And, you won't have to spend $800 to get this one. You may want to get a longer lasting battery, and you definitely want a spare battery. Cold weather does seem to take them down faster.

Go visit a few pawn shops and see if you can pick one up there. I buy alot of stuff out of pawn shops and save a ton of money. Also don't pay what they are asking for it, they will come down from asking price. I purchased a trv-520 digital camcorder, they wanted $400.00 for it and I picked it up for $225.00 works great. I have posted most of my pictures on here with it. Don't worry about it being a lemon, most pawn shops have a 30 day money back warranty.
You can try to pick one up cheap on EBAY, but you might have to bid on quite a few before you pick one up cheap.
