Distinctive Markings

This buck has some distinctive markings behind his head. Does anyone have any idea as to what this might be?

Here's another picture of the same buck. He's got some decent brow tines.

Kinda look like warts to me. Could be from where ticks were and he rubbed them off.

Awesome buck!! This buck has the same thing but in front of his right antler above his eye, not sure what is going on.
