Does anyone shoot a Bowtech Tomkat? If so, how do you like it? I am thinking about buying a new one and don't know of anyone who shoots one personally. Any and all help is appreciated...
Thanks guys!

I 'm shooting my first Tech this year. My best bow till now has been a High Country . I then bought a Mathews and found it to be far short of my expectations and sold it pronto.

This last spring I bought a Pro 40 Dually..... Do not over look the Bow Tech 2 cams. they are sweet .. Though I did have to have it re timed after about 2000 rounds. since it has never been touched and it drives nails .

Smooth to shoot , quiet, and very easy to shoot league with as yardage estimates are pretty irrelevent. as I can push a 400 grain carbon out of it at 319-320 fps at 70 lbs of 31" draw length..

Another really cool thing about the Techs is they come with a certified build sheet as they are all tested at the factory to be sure they can produce the performance they advertise. Not one other manufacturer does this... Yet anyways. but If you shoot them all and compare them you will see why.... No other manufacturer even compares to the speeds you can get out of the new Techs.

I'm shooting a hunting set up with 2613 aluminum xx78s tipped with 125 grain Thunderheads for a total arrow weight of 550 grains at 275 fps.. Talk about Kinetic energy and true flight with the heavy arrows ... Man I can not wait till Sept 13th to try it out on a fat ol' doe....... Then I'll be down to Iowa in Nov for a 300 lber...

The BowTech line is a study in deception and missinformation.

Bowtech bows "sound" fast...like a screen door closing sounds fast.

The speeds they reported upon introduction of the 2003 line were inflated because you had to shoot them at 31.5" to get close to the reported 320+ they were so proud of. They DO NOT come with winners choice strings any more...Choice dumped them. They vibrate like a tuning fork and the factory silencers must be removed and an after market set put on so as to get the best out of the worst...and to do this you have to take the string off...ruining the timing...again. Stay away, stay away, stay away. The tomcat is little and cheeper than some, but you will be disapointed with it.

The previous post was right...he did need 31" and all 70lbs to produce 300 plus fps. with only a 400gr arrow. This is not something to brag about. Alot of other bows will do this at 29" and 62-64lbs. ie. - Mathews Lx, Hoyt Razortech, or the Parker 31.

The shop I worked at sold 4 bowtech bows in two years...3 were returned. Go to a shop where they will set it up for you and let you shoot it, and something else comprable thru the chrono. You will see what I mean.

Sorry about the rant
