Dog not eating

Hey guys, just thought I'd put this out there to see if anyone is having/has had issues with a dog not eating. Mine is currently not eating her food, which she has been on since I got her. It's Royal Canin Lab Retreiver 30 dry dog food. A couple of weeks ago I noticed she vomitted overnight, and then 4 or 5 times the next day. She took a day or so before she went back to eating, which I figured she just had a stomach flu or something. Then about a week later (last Sunday) she was slow to eat in the morning and didn't finish her food that morning, but I thought it might have been because I was getting ready to take her shed hunting. I took the food bowl with us, thinking she would eat it sometime during the day on breaks, but she did not. No interest even tho she had been doing a lot of walking/running around. Then following that day, she has hardly touched her food. She may eat a few pieces, but that is it. She will eat treats (hard and soft) and meat (piece of hotdog, hamburger). My wife mixed a little cat food in with her normal food, and she picked out the cat food only. The only difference in her routine is that I have taken her shed hunting a few times. We are giving her a pill every day for her joints, which we put in a piece of hotdog or a little canned dog food. I'm not sure if she has just decided she doesn't like the taste or hard food or what. Anyone else use this brand or have a dog that has done this?

Not familiar with that dog food. Wonder if that bag got moldy or something. I'd try another bag or a different brand and see if she takes to it.

Id get her to the vet to make sure something isn't going on. My Brit acted like this and ended up with pancreatitis. Got him some meds and he was good to go. Then the next time he did it, it was cancer. Don't want to scare you but its better to get it checked out and be safe than sorry!

I have no idea if those are even symptoms of this, but, maybe have her checked out for Lyme disease.. We had ticks crawling on us already back on March 10th with full snow cover yet in the woods while shed hunting.

Good friend of mine had his dog do this a few months back and took his dog in for X rays and had a blockage- would have been fatal had he not gotten his dog in when he did and had emergency surgery. I would at least get her checked out by a vet asap

Thanks for the quick responses. We've talked with the vet, and they advised to feel around on her stomach area to see if we feel anything or if she shows signs of discomfort. I'm hoping it's just being tired of that food, but sounding like a trip in to the vet is likely. I agree, better safe than sorry.

Vet just looked at her, did blood work. Said borderline pancreatitus, whatever borderline means in this case. Got some meds, so hopefully she will be ok!
