Draw weight for turkey?

I might try turkey w/ my bow this year. Do you use a lighter draw weight than for deer? How many pounds? Seems like ya would but I don't know, that's why I ask. Thanks in advance.

I shoot the same weight almost all year long. I also am planning on a body shot, not a head shot. If I was trying a headshot I would dial it down a bit.

I have never touched the poundage on my bow regardless of where I'm shooting them. When I shot the Gobbler Guillotines I still had my bow maxed out. As stated before, shoot what you're comfortable with.

i like to have the weight dialed in at about 1.5 lbs....
Trigger weight that is!!!

If your bow is tuned don't turn it down unless you plan on switching arrows. I'm assuming your setup is for deer, so if you turned it down your arrows would be over spined. Keep it simple and keep your draw weight where its at is my advice.

It's set for deer. I'll leave it alone, just had to make sure it was OK. Thanks /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

I agree with this. Stick to your same draw weight and your arrows will fly like you want.
