duck boats?

Hey guys, another question for everyone...I have a small 10 ft jon boat I use for duck hunting. The bottom is starting to get really scratched up, its aluminum..is there anything I can put on the bottom to keep it from scratching so bad, or having something poke through? Any help would be greatly appreciated..Thanks

My old aluminum jon boat had been slid in and out of the back of my pickup so many times that I actually wore thru the bottom in a couple of spots....I just patched them with marine caulk and continued to use.

Thanks for the help, I think I might put a thin layer on the whole bottom of my boat..or do you think that will hurt it more than help?

We went to Orielly auto and got that roll on bed liner for pickups and lined the floor of our boat with it. It had a few small leaks in it, and it sealed it right up, plus made it good when its below freezing out and you climb in and out with wadders on. Instead of frozen water on aluminum, you have a ruff surface to actually get footing on.

A duck hunting friend and I were just discussing this and how nice it would be. We also discussed the weight issue, but even a thick layer would still be worth it I think.
