Short and sweet, 4 questions about rubs:
I found 4 rubs Saturday along a ridge top. Only one was bigger than a sapling. About forearm size, pretty well shredded. That entire ridge is pretty much a great big staging area. How reliable (when it comes to a bucks travel routes) do you think that rub is?
What's the latest you will scout for a rub line and remain confident the buck using it will have gotten over any jitters by the time you hunt?
What's the latest you will hunt rub lines before the rut?
Has anyone had good luck hunting them in the late season? How would you adjust your stand set up for that (if at all)?
