How many of you are planning to take your kids out this weekend early (youth) Muzzleloader? Where do you plan to go? What are you shooting? What are your stategies? I am going with my 12 year old daughter to Ottumwa by (Floris)to some private ground.Hunting deep woods by a stream and some oaks.Using a knight disc with a 4x16x50 mueller red dot scope.Good luck to all the kids.Hope you see a lot of deer!

I am taking a disabled hunter this Sunday to try to get him a shot at a good buck for the wall. I just hope he gets to see some deer movement and maybe we'll get LUCKY!

I may get out this weekend. I wanted to wait a little later this month hoping there would not be so many bugs. I have two farms in NE Iowa to hunt. Not sure where I will set up yet.

I'm taking my cousin this weekend, gonna set up on fields at night, havent decided beans or alfalfa yet. In the mornings I plan on hunting about 300 yards in front of a bedding area from the field

It's gonna be a great time for me, this might be the first actual hunt I get on my videocamera

i'm taking out my 12 year old nefew and can't hardly wait for the season. we put out stands last week and i've been taking him out to practice with his muzzleloader he got for xmas last year.

I'll be heading out with CamoKid Saturday afternoon with his muzzleloader. The 'Kid has done really well so far - 2 does with 2 shots in past youth and late seasons. He is really hoping for a buck this season, and we have seen a couple pretty interesting ones. We will be hunting out of a blind between a cornfield, and a wide and open draw with a creek running through it. Hopefully, a 50 yard shot awaits him. He's looking forward to it . . . but I'm probably the more excited one.
