Edgewood Locker Open House & Hunting Expo

Edgewood Locker is having their annual Open Hose and Hunting Expo on Sunday the 5th. Free samples of all their specialty venison meats at the locker and the Expo is at their events center in the middle of town. Samples of sticks and summer sausage will be at the event center only.

Both the open house and expo start at 1100 and end at 1500. Last year the line for free samples at the locker was quite long, but worth it.

The IBA will have a table at the Expo in the event center. Stop by and say howdy.

Any hunter worth his salt will be in a treestand at that time. ;) What poor timing!

I know, right? Most of their deer business is from shot gun season. It's funny to see the locals (think non hunters) that show up just for the free food. They are given one paper plate to go through the line. I've never seen so much stuff piled on one plate. It is actually an architectural/engineering marvel how they do it. I remember last year when I tired their venison hot dogs. They were the best ever. My plan for late season was to shoot a doe and get the whole thing processed into hot dogs, but I ended up shooting the window frame of the blind I was in instead of the doe. Fun story. Maybe I'll share it this winter.

Anyway, I just feel responsible to spread the word of the IBA. I can give up a day in a tree. Just means Team Tinfoil will have to hunt harder.

We take all our deer there and we have always wanted to attend this but it's always during a prime weekend in November. The deer meatloaf is amazing fyi!

And thank you my friend for doing what you do for all of us and the IBA!
