EHD?

I've been hearing about a outbreak of EHD in S.W. Missouri near Lamar from a farmer I work with.He found 2 nice bucks on his property that tested positive.

He said he's heard of around 20 or 30 just in the area where he lives. They claim it is worse during hot dry summers. We had it pretty bad here in Kansas a couple of years ago but haven't heard of any yet this year. Has anyone had any problems anywhere else?

We had a bad outbreak of EHD in Southern Iowa about 5 years ago that killed several dozen deer just in the area around our land (Appannoose county). Found several 140-160 bucks as well as numerous does and smaller bucks. I haven't heard of any outbreaks in Iowa since then. Here's a link to an article: EHD Article
