EHD did hit story county, couple confirmed cases. South of Nevada, buddy of mine took one to the deer classic that was a net Booner. Had the privilege of boiling it for him. Absolute shame, hopefully it stays clear of our neck of the woods this year. Chance of rain today and next week, have my fingers crossed.

Yup, it was in Story Co. last year! Think it started a little later than some areas and wasn't quite as widespread but it did get some nice bucks... 
Hope there is enough immunity that it doesn't repeat again for a few years.

I hunt along skunk river between Ames and Story City and didn't find any last year. Lucky I suppose.
