does anyone have any dimmensions for window height off the floor in an elevated blind? I am building the blind for shooting a bow standing up. The blind will be elevated around 10-14'. I plan on making the windows 12"w by 24'' tall

I think it would depend on the shooters height. I think you could easily figure it out by drawing your bow standing up and marking a few spots on a wall. 24 inches tall will you give you a lot of room to play with. Goodluck!!

I would make them at least 3', if not 3 1/2'. Keep them fairly close to the bottom in case you have a deer in close. Below is a link to a blind set-up with windows made for shooting a bow out of. The floor level actually starts about 8 inches up from the bottom. I forget what my window dimensions are, but you'll get the basic idea.

I think our windows are 40 to 42 in from the floor. Something to consider is you really don't need to have your blinds 10-14 ft tall. The are much easier to build at a lower level and it doesn't make any different to the deer. We have several that are only about 7' tall and we have killed 5 1/2 & 6 1/2 year old deer from them with a bow.
