Erin's hunt from last night...

Erin's youth hunt last night. She made a 250 yard shot on a big doe. She was so excited she couldn't quit shivering. We trailed it into the woods then it got dark so we backed out and went back this morning. The pictures tell the rest of the story.

Bummer! Such a roller coaster experience for a young hunter. Keep after it and it will turn out better next time.

No need for a caller, you have a bait pile right there. Way too many of them suckers around to not shoot them on sight. Congrats to the young hunter!!!

Well there's peaks and valleys and it appears this hunt contained both. She still put a long shot onto a nice deer and that's something the yotes can't take away from her.

Show…
Probably ought to tone it down a little there "pa-pa gone crazy". This is a family oriented site. :thrwrck:

Congrats on the success. Too bad about the dang song dogs getting there first. Stay after it and show us another harvest photo.

Congrats on the great shot! And glad it was exciting. It is sad about the yotes getting there first, but that is just a part of hunting. So its not a total loss, but a lesson learned. Natures cycle sucks, but keep your heads high and smoke another one! Good luck!

Thanks for the replys and no worries guys, my dad and I were giggling out of control when I took that last picture. She start giggling too. She knows she gets another chance this Saturday.

Dang yotes!!!

Only good one is a dead one!!!

Tell her congrats on the shot though and hopefully she gets another one!!
