considering trying expandables for the first time this deer season.looking for positive experiences and what brand has consistentlly produced clean kills.
I tend to like rockets, anything 1 1/2" or bigger, and atleast three blades is a must Last year i shot the sidewinder lites, and 85g. 1 1/2" rocket and it worked awesome.
Wasp Jakhammers have done the job for me and my hunting buddies for years. That is if you enjoy watching you're deer die within sight with blood spewing everywhere as they run.
PM me if you would like to see some pictures of blood trails and damage to vitals....
JAK's and also have seen good results with grim reapers! I like big holes b/c you never know when you will need one. Remember, not every shot is in the boiler room where a spoon will do the trick.
Heck DOR, then you're talking about every hunting mag and every hunting site out there. The same topics at the same time of the year with a different title.
I hear ya. I've noticed also that as new members join they too post common questions that others have asked/answered in the past. Oh well, I'm on the site everyday, what's that tell ya!!!
Yup...same questions with the same answers. I still say a fixed blade broadhead will penetrate better than any expandable. Now for tuning purposes...that my be a different story, but my blazer vanes have helped a bunch with that.
