Just thought everybody should know I was trying to support a local archery shop in the Des Moines area a couple of weekends ago with some business. I walked into the establishment and didn't feel they were overly busy, there were a few people inside and there was plenty of help behind the counter. I waited for some assistance but gave up after about 30 minutes of standing at the counter with not even so much as a "Hi, How are You?" I post this story for a couple of reasons, and quite frankly I don't complain much at all. I had plenty of time to stare around at the counter and saw a lot of Iowa Whitetail. com merchandise that they were trying to peddle---so because of the treatment or...should I say lack of..this story relates to the type of characters in that shop and the representation of this website in their shop. It wasn't good. I would think that local business owners in the industry would bend over backwards for more local customers instead of losing them to mail order powerhouses, but that didn't happen.....Gander Mountain in Onalaska Wisconsin was more than happy to help me with my repairs....did the repairs that day...and treated me like they wanted my business.(I was in the area for a day, and really just took a chance that they could help me) Local Business owners who log on to this site please take note, not only did that shop lose my sale for that day, but they also lost my business for good! CHA_CHING!$$$$NOT
