Whats you're favorite thing to plant in newly cleared plots?

Thinking of spraying area all summer and then discing and putting in rye and ladino and balansa and tillage radish in september

Sound good but i would get lime as needed worked in asap to take effect buy fall.

Oats are a awsome fast growing fall attraction also! Add some of that in also!

A fall planting Rye + clover, or some type of Dbltree mix is hard to beat.

Agree with the above. Need soil test asap, likely low in lime and P, K. Sulfur is needed for clovers as well.

Forage oats with a mix of clover so you keep it green throughout winter

Has to be clover imo. Fall plant with rye works great.

Or what about more trees? Plant about 10-15 fruit or nut trees in there.

Depends on the shape and amount of real sunlight getting in. You're going to be fighting tree roots and pH in perpetuity.

Oats & certain clovers should be your best bet depending on your geographic location

I could see canopy hindering it but who plants trees without an auger anymore?
