Field points in the stand

SCOFFIN

Miles Coffin
Just a quick question to see if I'm breaking any DNR hunting regulations here. I normally carry 1 field point arrow in my quiver when in the stand. I normally use it to take a 20 yard shot at a stick or stump to make sure my shooting lane is good. My question is would having a field point with me earn me a ticket if the DNR found it on me during a hunt? Kind of along the lines of having lead shot on your person when in a steel shot only area.

Thanks in advance for the info..

Nothing wrong with having a field point with you for a practice shot, though I would recommend a judo point as an alternative to the field point. I always have two judos in my bow quiver for practice shots from my stand.
