just trying to learn more about everybody! what do ya'll do to fill in time between seasons. to tell you more about myself this is what i do: spring time i mainly shed hunt and get as much work done as possble aroud the house so that i can have an easy summer. usually when may rolls around is when truck and tractor pulling season starts. i absolutely love truck and tractor pulling and have 2 trucks that i built that compete in the stock-modified class. i am currently building a third one, this one for myself and a friend. the other 2 i built for a couple of friends of mine. it's going to be a real powerhouse. i do that all the way up to about the middle of september. somewhere around 25-30 pulls a year that we compete in. we generally pull in kentucky ohio, and west virginia also wanting to start pulling in indiana too we just haven't done it yet$$money$$ then starting around mid august i start to scout and film deer every oppurtunity i get. that is basically what i do to fill in time. do any of you know what truck and tractor pulling is, i'm sure ya'll do! also do you attend these events? also i do alt of turkey hunting in the spring. so basically i am your typical redneck!

I shed hunt as much as possible and then Turkey hunt as much as possible. I have a 10year old son and a 12 year old son so we do a lot of turkey hunting!!!!

My kids are also very active in sports. They both play indoor and outdoor soccer. I coach my youngest sons competitive 10 year old baseball team (we started practicing indoors the first week of January). In late summer, early fall I coach my youngest son's football team. We also do a lot of fly fishing for trout.....

All in all, my kids keep me very busy and out of trouble..... I absoluetly love every moment that I get to spend with them.....

Spring- I try to get some shed hunting in, and archery turkey hunting.

spring and summer- fishing, a little camping, 3D shoots.

fall- hunt, hunt, and hunt.

late winter- ice fish a little, and work in my wood shop.

The wife and I both work full time, we have two boys: 5 1/2 and 2 1/2. Free time is limited, but we make the best of it

You sound like a redneck!

I usually take a couple of months off and spend time with the family. I hate being away from my little boy during the hunting season so we make up for lost time plus this gets me out of the dog house with my wife. Do a little fly fishing before turkey season. Go on a golf trip with some buddies and do the family vacation. Do a little boating a put away a few brewskies and then start shooting my bow around July on a regular basis and go crazy waiting for September 28 to roll around. Then its on!!!!!!

Well split-g it sounds like you and my buddy should hook up sometime! All he talks about is his pulling truck. His is a 72 Chevy 3/4 ton with a 600hp 468. His dad is a running a 97 chevy with a merlin 509 running off nitro-methane it pushes somewhere around the 1000 hp range. I hate showing up when ever they are working on their trucks. When ever it gets close to pulling season No one ever calls him to do anything.
